The village of Fancy in St Vincent is the northernmost inhabited area of the island. It is very close to the crater, but has been somewhat ‘protected’ during previous eruptions due to the topography of the area. Professor Robertson explains more about this unique village, and why the population of Fancy still need to be prepared for an eruption.
